The bouchot mussels (Mytilus edulis) are pole culture mussels and these are grown in Le Crotoy or Baie Mont St. Michel. The bouchot mussel takes its name from the posts on which the mussels grow. The mussels are smaller than the Zeeland ones. They are very tasty and packed with meat.
